Hilal Lone Accused Of The Inflammatory Speech Released On Bail

Hilal Lone accused of the inflammatory speech released on bail. He is a senior leader of the National Conference.

The court has granted bail to National Conference leader Hilal Akbar Lone, who was accused of making inflammatory speeches in Hajin, Kashmir during the Zilla Vikas Parishad elections.

Hilal Lone was arrested by the Hajin police of Baramulla on charges of inflammatory speech and a case was registered against him under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.

Hilal Lone is the elder son of Mohammad Akbar Lone, a senior leader of the National Conference and Member of Parliament of North Kashmir.

Hilal challenged his arrest in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Baramulla after which he was granted bail by the court on Thursday night.

Hilal is alleged to have made a provocative speech in Hajin during the District Development Council elections.

The police believed that Hilal’s speech could have worsened the atmosphere and damaged law and order. Last month, the Hajin police registered a case against Hilal on charges of provocative speech.

According to the information received, Hilal had filed a bail petition in this case, after which the court granted him conditional bail.

As per the condition of the court, Hilal had to pay a bond of two lakh rupees and whenever required during the investigation of the case, he would have to appear before the investigation team.

They are not even allowed to go out without telling them. Even before going out somewhere, they will have to inform the police.

Employees with suspected backgrounds posted in government departments in Jammu and Kashmir are now being monitored.

After receiving complaints of promoting anti-national ideology, the government has decided to get CID verification of the employees appointed within the last two years.

The government has issued orders to discontinue the salaries, allowances of employees who have not received CID clearance.

In the future, CID verification will be necessary to ensure that prior to the deployment of new employees in the departments.
