Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist injured in Anantnag encounter, hospitalized, condition critical: Kashmir Encounter.
The local militant of Hizbul Mujahideen in the Gundababa area of South Kashmir district Anantnag was apprehended by security forces after a brief encounter.
The terrorist was shot in the stomach, which was immediately admitted by the security forces to SMHS Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
The terrorist condition is said to be critical. He has been identified as Zaheer Abbas Lone resident of Pulwama.
According to the information received from the police, this morning it was learned from reliable sources that the Hizbul terrorist has been seen in the Gundababa area.
There may be some other terrorists with him. As soon as the information was received, a joint team of Police SOG, Army 03-RR, and CRPF reached the area and they started the siege.
After the siege, the security forces started a search operation in search of terrorists. Zaheer, hiding in a house, saw the security forces coming close to him and started firing on them.
The security forces first asked Zaheer to surrender. During this time his family was also called there. But Zaheer refused to surrender and continued firing on the security forces.
When the security forces also opened fire in response, a bullet went into his stomach and he fell down.
Instead of killing him, the security forces caught him in an injured state and immediately rushed him to the nearest hospital.
In district Anantnag, doctors referred him to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar after giving him first aid.
Now Hizbul terrorist Zaheer is being treated at SMHS Hospital. His family is with him. Tight security arrangements have been made in the hospital.
According to doctors, the condition of the terrorist remains critical. After conducting a search operation in and around the encounter site, the security forces confirmed that no other terrorists were present in the area.
However, they have recovered arms and ammunition recovered from Zaheer.
