However, Aaloo-Pyaaz Kachori is the most famous among them. Aaloo-Pyaaz Kachori tastes very delicious and is known for its crispy outer layer and delicious potato-onion mixture. It is a great option for breakfast or evening snacks and can be served with chutney or potato curry. How to make Aaloo-Pyaaz Kachori?

Ingredients:

For the dough:

1.  2 cups wheat flour

2. 1/2 tsp salt

3.  2 tbsp oil

4.  Water (as required)

For the stuffing: How to Make Crispy & Delicious Aaloo-Pyaaz Kachori

1. 2 large potatoes (boiled and mashed)
2. 1 large onion (finely chopped)
3. 1/2 tsp asafoetida
4. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
5. 1/2 tsp coriander powder
6. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
7. 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
8. 1/4 tsp garam masala
9. Salt to taste
10. Oil for frying

 

How to Make Crispy & Delicious Aaloo-Pyaaz Kachori: Method

Preparing the dough:

  1. Put the flour, oil, and salt in a big bowl.
  2. Knead to make a soft dough by adding water gradually.
  3. The dough should be covered and left for 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. Preparing the stuffing:
  5. Heat oil in a pan.
  6. Add asafoetida, cumin seeds, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala and fry.
  7. Add the onion and cook until golden.
  8. Add mashed potatoes and mix well.
  9. Add salt to taste.

How to make Kachori?

  1. Make small balls of dough.
  2. Using a rolling pin, roll each ball into a thin Puri.
  3. Put the stuffing in the middle of the Puri and fold the edges to give it a round shape.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and fry the Kachori on medium flame till it turns golden.
  5. Serve hot Kachori with potato curry or chutney.

Special Tips:

  1. Do not knead the dough too much, otherwise the Kachori will become hard.
  2. Let the potato mixture become a little wet.
  3. Fry the Kachori on low flame only, otherwise, it will burn from the outside and remain raw from the inside.
  4. To make the Kachori more delicious, add a little garam masala to it.
  5. If you like spicy food, you can increase the red chili powder.
  6. You can use different types of spices to fill the Kachori.
  7. Always serve the Kachori hot.
