Xiaomi’s path brings the luxury electric car to compete not only with Huawei, Tesla, but also Rolls-Royce and Mercedes. Smartphone maker Xiaomi has introduced its electric car at the global level. At the same time, Huawei has also started on this path. The company has launched its electric car, Huawei Maestro S800, in China. The new electric luxury sedan, Maextro S800, is seen as directly competing with the Rolls-Royce Ghost and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. It has received 3,600 pre-orders in the first week of its launch, out of which 1,600 bookings were done on the very first day. It has been developed in partnership with Huawei and JAC Motors. It is not only an electric car, but also a moving five-star lounge. This car is attracting those people who want a car like the Rolls-Royce and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, but do not want to spend much.

Design of Maextro S800
Its design is completely similar to that of a European full-size luxury car. Its length is 5.48 meters, which is more than the Maybach S-Class. It has a long bonnet, curved roofline, disc wheels like Rolls-Royce, bi-tone finish like Maybach. Because of this, its look is like a high-end sedan.
Its interior is designed like a moving penthouse. It has features like a Rolls-Royce-like interactive starry roof, zero-gravity seats, speakers in headrests, a Huawei sound system with 43 speakers, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 17.7-inch infotainment display, a 12.3-inch passenger screen, and HarmonyOS with voice, gesture, and driver profile control.

Huawei’s electric luxury sedan car has an ADS 4.0 system, which comes with 32 sensors and LiDAR. Due to this system, this car can run on the road without a driver, be it narrow streets or city roads. It also has Level 3 autonomous driving support, due to which it can be driven without driver input in many situations.
Huawei’s electric luxury sedan has been brought with two powertrain options, which are electric and hybrid. Its fully electric version has a 95 kWh battery, which generates 523 hp with the help of a dual motor setup. It will give a range of up to 702 km (CLTC) in a single charge. Its hybrid variant has a 65 kWh battery pack with a 1.5L engine. It generates power of 523 hp. Its electric range is 160–193 miles, and total range is up to 1,333 km.
The base variant of Huawei Maextro S800 is priced at 708,000 yuan (about Rs 82 lakh), and the Flagship is priced at 1,018,000 yuan (about Rs 1.18 crore). In the global market, it is said to compete with Mercedes-Maybach S480 (Rs 1.68 crore) and Rolls-Royce Ghost (Rs 4.8 crore).
