Human smugglers infiltrating through West Bengal increased the challenge, UP ATS looking for Gonda connection.
The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) is expanding its probe to reach out to the elders involved in the XDK infiltrating citizens of Myanmar and Bangladesh in Uttar Pradesh.
The help of other investigative agencies is also being taken to stop the infiltration from the border of West Bengal, but big fish are not getting their hands.
Gangs, changing the identity of infiltrators through fake documents, and providing them Indian Aadhar cards, passports, and other such important documents, have become the biggest challenge for the investigating agencies.
This is the reason that the ATS has now started the investigation of the two accused caught in the case of making Aadhar cards through fake documents in Gonda on 22 October.
At the same time, ATS has started interrogation by taking Mithun Mandal and three Bangladeshi nationals caught in human trafficking on police remand two days ago.
An ATS team is investigating Gonda. There is also preparation for interrogation of accused Shyam Nishad and Suraj Maurya arrested by Gonda police.
At the same time, Mithun and his associates are also being questioned, especially on the point of fake documents. Many more of his accomplices are also expected to be apprehended.
In fact, the ATS had earlier also caught the gang smuggling Rohingya women abroad after bringing them to Uttar Pradesh.
Roxhagya Azizul was arrested from Sant Kabirnagar in January, after which the hawala network of the gang also came to the fore.
Abdul Mannan, who was helpful in getting the fake documents made, was also caught, but even after that, there were no big hands associated with this network.
Even after the mutual coordination of the investigating agencies, the layers of human trafficking syndicates spread from West Bengal to Uttar Pradesh and other states are not being fully exposed.
Human smugglers infiltrating in UP: For internal security, the threat of infiltration of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis are increasing continuously.
Sources say that the ATS has also contacted other agencies to reach out to those who prepared the fake documents.
On Tuesday, the ATS had arrested Mithun Mandal, a travel agency operator resident of West Bengal, and three Bangladeshi nationals.
Now the investigation has been intensified about his other accomplices. It is also being ascertained that how many Roxhagyas and Bangladeshis have been given hideout by this gang in the past.
