ICC Changed Many Rules In The T20 World Cup 2022

ICC changed many rules regarding the semi-final and final matches of the T20 World Cup 2022.

T20 World Cup 2022: The thrill of T20 World Cup 2022 is currently over the whole world and Super 12 matches are being played right now.

Four teams out of a total of 12 teams will qualify for the semi-finals and these two teams will reach the final. Now the ICC has changed one of its rules before the semi-final and final match of this World Cup.

ICC changed the rules for the semi-finals and finals.

Earlier it used to be that if the match could not be completed due to rain or any other reason, and both the teams had played at least 5-5 overs, then the match was decided on the basis of the Duckworth-Lewis rule.

At the same time, the ICC has changed its rule for this T20 World Cup and it says that at least 10 overs will be played in these matches, only then the decision will be made on the basis of the Duckworth-Lewis rule.

That is, now this rule will be implemented only after a match of 10 overs instead of 5.

During the T20 World Cup 2022, many matches were canceled due to rain, and equal points were distributed between both teams.

At the same time, there were some matches in which due to more than 5 overs, the decision was taken on the basis of the Duckworth-Lewis rule, which for example included the India-Bangladesh match.

At the same time, the ICC has decided that the Duckworth-Lewis rule will be applied in the event of no match after at least 10 overs in the semi-finals and final.

At the same time, once the toss is done, there will be no change in the team and the match will start from the same place on the reserve day where it will stop due to rain or any other reason.

Let us tell you that this time the ICC has also kept a reserve day for the semi-finals and final matches.

The first semi-final match of the T20 World Cup 2022 will be played in Sydney on November 9 while the second semi-final match will be played at the Adelaide Oval on November 10.

The final match will be held in Melbourne on November 13. All these will be from 1.30 pm Indian time.
