The International Commission for Human Rights and Religious Freedom (ICHRRF), a US-based non-profit organization, has treated the killing of Kashmiri Hindus as genocide.

This appeal to the Jammu and Kashmir administration.

The Commission has called upon the Government of India and the administration of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to accept and recognize the atrocities committed on Kashmiri Hindus from 1989-to 1991 as genocide.

International commission appeals.

The commission also appealed to other human rights organizations, international bodies, and governments to treat it as a genocide.

They also said that the world should listen to the stories of atrocities against Kashmiri Pandits.

At the same time, the past inaction towards these atrocities should be seriously introspected and recognized as genocide.

Special public hearing.

Not only this, the ICHRRF held a special public hearing on the issue of the Kashmiri Hindu Genocide (1989-1991) on Sunday.

In this, many victims and survivors of the massacre expressed their pain. Kashmiri Pandits told how those people have driven away from their own homes.

Their loved ones were tortured and murdered. Tears welled up in people’s eyes while narrating their ordeal.

Commission raised demand.

The commission sought to set up a commission to investigate the genocide and ethnic genocide of Kashmiri Hindus to prevent future atrocities so that the perpetrators and their supporters could be held legally accountable.
