This information was given by IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar. Informing reporters about the encounter after two al-Badar militants were killed in Khonmoh area of ​​Srinagar, the IGP said that there were 6 active militants in Srinagar.

A terrorist was recently shot dead in a Kokernag (Anantnag) encounter. Now only five local terrorists remain in Srinagar. They too will soon be killed or captured.

He also informed that there is a huge network of OGW working for terrorists in Srinagar. We have arrested many. A case has been registered against them under PSA.

Many are still on the police radar, who are being searched. We have also placed some OGWs in the C-category.

These are the youngsters, whom the terrorists are misleading and using for their own benefit. They have been counseled and handed over to their families.

In response to a question asked by journalists, the IGP said that there is no foreign terrorist active in Srinagar.

Though they are getting information about the movement of many foreign terrorists, yet no foreign terrorist is permanently active in Srinagar district.

He recognized that the IED is becoming a challenge for the security forces but has taken effective steps to effectively deal with this threat. They have further activated their information systems.
