Audi has introduced a new rear-wheel drive (RWD) variant of its Q6 e-tron. Audi claims that it is highly efficient, which further expands the lineup of this all-electric SUV.

What is special about the Audi Q6 e-tron?

The Audi Q6 e-Tron shares its underpinnings with the Porsche Macan EV, which is the first use of this platform for the company.

This architecture called PPE uses an 800-volt electrical system and has two electric motors.

Talking about dimensions, it provides ample legroom for passengers even in the rear seat with a length of 4771 mm, a width of 1993 mm, and a height of 1648 mm.

Powertrain Details.

This new model has a maximum output of 240 kW and is equipped with a 100 kWh high-voltage battery.

It joins the previously launched Audi Q6 e-tron quattro, which has a system output of 285 kW, and the other being the SQ6 e-tron, which has a system output of 380 kW.

Battery and Range.

As per WLTP, the Audi Q6 e-tron can deliver a claimed range of up to 641 kilometers.

The company claims that the Audi e-tron GT boasts ultra-fast charging, which adds 260 kilometers of range in 10 minutes with compatible high-power charging stations.

This new variant features a rear-wheel drive setup, powered by a compact yet powerful permanent magnet synchronous motor.

According to Audi, this motor delivers 240 kW of power and propels the car from 0 to 100 mph in just 6.6 seconds.

Interior and Features.

The cabin of the Q6 e-tron features a 14.5-inch central curved display with its own AI avatar that transforms into an 11.9-inch driver display behind the steering wheel.

Additionally, there is a 10.9-inch infotainment unit on the front passenger seat. Connected technology and over-the-air (OTA) update capability are further characteristics of the Q6 e-tron.
