Opposition parties in Pakistan announced on Sunday that they would come to form a new coalition called the ‘Pakistan Democratic Movement’ with the aim of ousting the Imran Khan-led government.

Geo News reported that the coalition’s agreement came after a multi-party conference in Islamabad, where the opposition called the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government as the next course of action to rid the country.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazl-ur- while addressing a press talk, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (FIU) (JUI-F) chief Rehman) said that the opposition is demanding the immediate resignation of the elected Prime Minister Imran Ahmed Niazi.

Nationwide protests will take place from October and will involve the participation of lawyers, businessmen, laborers, farmers, and civil society. In the first phase, from October, rallies will be held in Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Punjab, Rahman said.

In the second phase, the galleries will be nationwide, starting in December. In the third phase, in January next year, a long march will proceed towards Islamabad.

Rahman further said that the united opposition would use all faiths to exclude the elected government, including a vote of no-confidence and resignation from Parliament.

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who is undergoing treatment in London, has made a political comeback. During his online address at the all-party conference of opposition parties, Sharif cracked down on Pakistan’s almighty army.

The opposition is not against Prime Minister Imran Khan, but against those who put an ‘unworthy’ person in the chair.

Nawaz said – Army should stay away from politics, follow the constitution

Sharif cautioned the army that he should abstain from politics, follow the constitution, and follow the path shown by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He said, ‘Our fight is not with Imran.

We are against him, who rigged the election to bring an incompetent person to power and thus ruined the country. Removing this selected government should be a top priority. If this is not done, the country will suffer a huge loss.
