IND vs IRE: India beat Ireland by 7 wickets in the first T20 match under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya.
The first match of the two-match T20 cricket series between India and Ireland was played in Dublin. In this match, Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bat first.
Due to rain, the match started with a delay of two hours and 20 minutes and it was reduced to 12-12 overs.
Batting first, Ireland scored 108 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 12 overs and set India a target of 109 runs to win.
In the second innings, Deepak Hooda scored an unbeaten 47 for 111 for 3 in 9.2 overs to register a 7-wicket win in this match.
After this victory, India took a 1-0 lead in this series, with Hardik Pandya making his debut as captain with a win.

Ishan Kishan made a quick 26 off 11 balls, but he was bowled by Craig Young. Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed by Young for a golden duck without opening the account.
Captain Hardik Pandya scored 24 runs in 12 balls and was dismissed by Joshua Little.
After this, Deepak Hooda scored an unbeaten 47 off 29 balls and Dinesh Karthik scored an unbeaten 5 not out to give India victory.

Ireland lost the first wicket early and captain Andrew Balbirnie was bowled by Bhuvneshwar Kumar without opening the account.
The second blow to Ireland was given by Hardik Pandya by dismissing Paul Starling. Starling scored 4 runs and his catch was caught by Deepak Hooda.
Avesh Khan gave the third blow to the hosts by dismissing Gareth Delany for 9 runs. Chahal gave India the fourth success in the form of Tucker and Harry was caught by Axar Patel after scoring 18 runs.
Harry Tector played a very good inning and he completed his fifty in just 29 balls. After this, he scored an unbeaten 64 off 33 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 6 fours.
Bhuvi, Chahal, Pandya, and Avesh Khan got one success each in the first innings for India.
Umran Malik made his debut.
In the first match against Ireland, fast bowler Umran Malik was given a chance in playing XI.
Through this match, this fast bowler made his debut in T20 International cricket for India. On the other hand, Sanju Samson was not given a place in the playing XI.
