India And America Will Start Two-Day Naval Exercise

India and America will start a two-day naval exercise in the Indian Ocean region from today.

The Indian Navy will participate in a naval exercise with Ronaldo Reagan, the US Naval Carrier Strike Group, in the Indian Ocean region from Wednesday.

This two-day exercise will go on for two days today and tomorrow. This reflects the growing operational cooperation between the two navies.

India and America will start a two-day naval exercise.

The Indian Air Force said that it will also participate in operational work with the same Navy during the exercise with the US CSG currently stationed in the Indian Ocean region.

Officials informed that Indian Navy ships Kochi and Teg as well as a fleet of P8I maritime surveillance aircraft and MiG-29 jets will participate in the exercise.

Britain appointed Liaison Officer at the Information Fusion Center of the Indian Navy.

The intensification between India and Britain has increased in relation to bilateral defense ties.

Britain on Tuesday appointed a liaison officer at the Information Fusion Center (IFC) of the Indian Navy in view of China’s activism in the Indian Ocean.

The IFC is a major center for maritime security information in the Indian Ocean.

The British High Commission has said that Britain’s International Liaison Officer (ILO) has assumed charge at the Indian Navy’s Information Fusion Centre-Indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR).

The Indian Navy had set up IFC-IOR in 2018 to effectively monitor ship movements in the region as well as other important developments with like-minded countries.

The officer’s appointment to the center comes ahead of the scheduled visit of Britain’s Carrier Strike Group, led by the aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth, to India.

According to the High Commission, Lieutenant Commander Stephen Smith will work full time in this center.

He will work closely with the Indian Armed Forces and associate liaison officers of partner countries.

Admiral Tony Radakin, the Chief of the British Navy, described it as an important step towards awareness in the maritime sector by India and Britain.

Australia appointed its liaison officer at this center in February.
