India and EU committed to free movement in the Indo-Pacific region, 5 warships conducted a joint exercise.
The world is uniting for respect for territorial sovereignty, orderly and free movement of all kinds in the Indian-Pacific region.
On 18–19 June, the navies of India and the European Union (EU) expressed their desire for the independence of the Indo-Pacific region by conducting joint exercises in the Gulf of Aden.
Clearly, the unity of India and the EU is a challenge to China’s aggression. China is increasing its power in the Indian-Pacific Ocean region and is harming the sovereignty of regional countries.
The navies of the EU and India from 27 countries practiced working together to ensure calm and safe movement on major waterways.
The EU has said that both sides have agreed to further enhance their cooperation for maritime security.
The group has issued a statement saying that both sides are in favor of following the rules and other rules made by the United Nations on maritime traffic in the Indo-Pacific region.
A similar statement has also been issued by the Defense Ministry of India. The two sides started talks on enhancing maritime cooperation in January and that has resulted in this joint exercise.
A total of five warships from both sides took part in this two-day exercise. Warships from both sides were on a campaign against pirates in the area, during which they conducted joint exercises.
After this exercise, the Indian Navy safely evacuated ships carrying food grains from the Gulf of Aden under the World Food Program.
