India and France celebrating 25 years of strong bond of friendship, Emmanuel Macron tweeted in Hindi.

Prime Minister Modi is visiting France for two days. PM Modi reached the airport of France on Thursday evening. He was received with state honors by French Prime Minister Elizabeth Borne at the airport.

The PM addressed the people of the Indian community here. Modi also attended a state dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron.

The French President is very keen on the PM’s visit. Macron tweeted in Hindi on Friday morning.

“He wrote on Twitter: “India and France are celebrating 25 years of strategic partnership as well as a strong relationship of trust and friendship. Dear Narendra Modi, welcome to Paris.

Modi to attend Bastille Day parade.

PM Modi will attend the Bastille Day parade as the chief guest on the National Day of France.

President Emmanuel Macron extended the invitation to Modi.

Contingents of all three armies of India will participate in this parade. Significantly, Bastille Day has a special significance in the French consciousness.

Awarded the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor.

Previously, Prime Minister Modi was awarded France’s highest honor. Emmanuel Macron awarded Prime Minister Narendra Modi the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor, France’s highest award.

Prime Minister Modi became the first Indian Prime Minister to receive this honor.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Arindam Bagchi said it was a warm gesture symbolizing the spirit of partnership between India and France.

Prior to PM Modi, former South African President Nelson Mandela, the then Prince of Wales King Charles, and former German Chancellor Angela Merkel have also received this honor.
