India beat Australia by six wickets in an eight-over match due to rain to level the three-match series 1-1. Captain Rohit Sharma played an unbeaten inning of 46 runs in 20 balls.

Australia won the first match. The team that wins the last match to be held in Hyderabad on Sunday will also win the series.

Later, wicketkeeper Matthew Wade played a blistering inning of 43 runs in 20 balls to set India a target of 91 runs. Captain Aaron Finch also scored 31 runs in 15 balls.

The hero of the previous match, Cameron Green, was dismissed after scoring just five runs. Harshal Patel was the biggest hit in this match.

He spent 32 runs in two overs. Wade hit three lofty sixes in his last over.

Rohit made the Kangaroos breathless: Opener KL Rahul, who scored a half-century in the last match, was dismissed for just 10 runs.

But captain Rohit Sharma gave the team victory with four balls to spare, thanks to the explosive innings of four fours and four sixes.

Former captain Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya could not do much but Dinesh Karthik made the victory easy by hitting a four and a six off two balls in the last over.

Adam Zampa took the highest three wickets for Australia.
