India China Border Issue: The spirit of Ladakhis, new roads in remote areas increasing the strength of the army.
Rapidly building roads near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in strategically important Eastern Ladakh are increasing the strength of the army with facilities for people living in remote areas and tourists.
The infrastructure along the Line of Actual Control is being continuously strengthened after Ladakh became a union territory and a bloody conflict with the Chinese army at Galwan in eastern Ladakh.
The new roads will not only bring prosperity to the tourists in remote areas but also the equipment of the army standing in front of the enemy in the bloody winter will reach the front soon.
Amidst the challenging conditions in the cold of November, 28 km of road has been constructed from Spangmik to Kasket area near the world-famous Pangang lake at a cost of Rs 11.41 crore.
India China Border Issue: About 11 km of road is yet to be built.
Better roads will increase the sense of security among the people of the area and make them financially empowered. Areas adjoining the Line of Actual Control are currently developing at twice the speed.
On the one hand, the Border Roads Organization is improving road connectivity in militarily important areas.
While on the other hand, the Ladakh administration is on the way to rejuvenating remote areas with the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana.
Construction of 255 km of roads and 45 bridges is going on: Under Ladakh Vision-2050, about 130 km of roads have been constructed in remote areas of the state in the current year.
Ladakh Administrative Secretary Ajit Sahu said that Rs 121 crore has been spent so far on roads built-in remote areas.
The work of constructing 255 km of roads is going on from the five road projects being built on the Line of Actual Control.
Along with this, the work of making 45 bridges is going on. These bridges will be completed in the year 2022.
These new roads are being built: 26.6 km of road is being built on Hanuthang-Handenbroke-Jungpal-Turtuk for better road connectivity in Shyok Valley.
With the construction of this road, the journey from Leh to Turtuk will be reduced from nine hours to 3.5 hours.
This includes 78 km from Khaltsi to Batalik, 50 km from Kargil to Dumgil, 70 km from Khalsar to Shyokvia, and 31 km from Tangtse to Lukang.
The people of Hunder, Turtuk, Shyok, Pangang Tso, Dah, Garkon, and Darchik villages will be benefited from the construction of these roads.
Most of the 1200 km of roads built by the Border Roads Organization in the last year in areas bordering China on the Line of Actual Control are built-in Ladakh.
Every year thousands of tourists come to see Pangang Lake: About 40 percent of the 134 km long Pangang Lake in Leh is in India.
China’s intention is not right regarding Pangang Lake, divided into five lakes. Every year thousands of tourists reach Leh to take a look at the beauty of Pangang Lake.
In such a situation, along with the people dependent on tourism, the new road will bring new hopes for the taxi drivers who bring tourists from Leh to Pangang.
