India & China Will Demolish New Structures Built After April-May

India & China will demolish new structures built after April-May; no side will patrol between Finger-4 and Finger-8.

According to talks between India & China on the proposals for retreat, both sides will demolish all new structures in the Pangong Lake area after April-May this year.

According to sources, neither side will patrol between Finger-4 and Finger-8 as China has abandoned its old stand of maintaining surveillance posts in the area.

The two countries will hold separate talks on the issue of the plains of Depsang where China has blocked some patrolling sites of the Indian Army.

The Chinese Army has not completely retreated in the first phase from one or two other patrolling sites of the Indian Army, this too has to be resolved soon.

The two countries’ armies agreed to negotiate a phased retreat from parts of the eastern Ladakh sector.

Accordingly, the proposals are being negotiated and the armies of both the countries have to return to their respective positions before April-May this year.

The plan to retreat was discussed in the eighth round of Corps Commander level talks between the two countries in Chushul on 6 November.

According to the plan, China is to be executed in phases within a week from talks in the Pangong Lake area.

Naveen Srivastava, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, and Brigadier Ghai of the Directorate General of Military Operations also participated in the talks held on 6 November.

However, India is proceeding cautiously in this matter. India believes that negotiations and agreements should also be implemented at the ground level.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry has indicated another commander level talks.

External Affairs Ministry spokesman Anurag Shrivastava said that talks are continuing on the tension with China over LAC.

He said that the Chinese side also agreed to the next dialogue. Recently, there was a report on the issue of military deadlock.

It said that it was agreed that the consensus between the top leaders of the two countries should be implemented to exercise restraint on behalf of the military forces and to clear misunderstandings with each other.
