BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited (BAPL) signed a contract with the Department of National Defense of the Philippines.

India-Philippines signed a deal: The Defense Ministry has described this deal of both the countries as an important step.

The Ministry of Defense said that this agreement is an important step in the policy of the Government of India to promote defense exports.

According to the information, the Philippines has signed a contract with Indian BrahMos Aerospace Pvt Ltd. Earlier this month, the Philippines accepted an offer of around ₹375 million from Indian BrahMos Aerospace Pvt Ltd.

Under this, India will supply coast-based anti-ship missile systems to the Philippines Navy.

The Indian team of BrahMos Aerospace was present in India under the leadership of BrahMos CEO Atul D Rane, Deputy CEO Sanjeev Joshi, Lt Col R Negi, and Praveen Pathak at the time of signing of the deal.

Actually, DRDO and BAPL together have been insisting on the export of this missile to friendly countries for the last few months.

The BrahMos export order will be the largest for the country in the region, and India is likely to move up among arms exporting nations as more orders are expected from other friendly countries for the missile.

The missile has also become more capable due to the added range and the incorporation of other modern technologies.

Let us tell you that the Philippines is having a dispute with China over the jurisdiction in the South China Sea.

Meanwhile, the Philippines’ decision to take the world’s fastest supersonic missile will increase the strength of its army.

Through this missile, the Philippines will be able to protect its coastal areas by showing an eye to China.
