India on Friday insisted that it has always followed an independent foreign policy based on its national interests. India’s vision for the Indo-Pacific region is not against any country.

India’s statement comes two days after Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s statement that Western forces pursue an Indo-Pacific strategy by pursuing an aggressive and devious policy by implicating India in anti-China activities.

India attacked Pakistan, said- distributing imaginary and fabricated dossiers

India retaliated on Friday on Pakistan’s charge of propaganda. India said that the best example of the propaganda is the neighboring country distributing fictitious and fabricated dossiers and continuously spreading fake news.

Had accused India of subversive activities through fake media organizations.

Reacting to this, Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Anurag Shrivastava said that India being a responsible democracy does not resort to propaganda campaigns.

Taking a dig at Pakistan, he said that he resorted to propaganda especially those who have a record of hiding international wanted terrorists like Osama bin Laden and failed to cover up their tracks like the 26/11 Mumbai attack.

Srivastava said, ‘Our position and the ground reality in this matter is well known, I do not want to make such propaganda proud by reacting to it.’

On Jaishankar’s recent Geneva Donors Conference announcement to build India’s mulberry dam, Srivastava said that the Foreign Minister had announced that India and Afghanistan had reached an agreement on the dam.

The agreement is likely to be signed soon.
