Prime Minister Narendra Modi said this while addressing the Global Conference Grand Challenges Annual Meeting, 2020 on Monday.
India at the forefront of vaccine manufacturing
PM Modi said that India is at the forefront of vaccine manufacturing. Many vaccines are in the final stages of testing.
On the strength of its talent, India will emerge as a center of global efforts in the health sector and is ready to help other countries further.
About 60 percent of the vaccine used worldwide is produced in India. India has proved its ability to make quality medicines and vaccines at a low cost.

The Prime Minister said that we have excellent scientists and good scientific institutions. They are our biggest capital.
Especially in the last few months, he has proved himself in the direction of fighting Covid-19. They have done wonders in every respect, from rein in the transition to capacity building.

Modi said, ‘The whole world sees India’s huge population and diversity with wonder. Our population is four times that of America.
I thank the efforts of the common people, on whose help we were able to keep the death rate from corona very low. ‘ Modi said that we have taken many steps like sanitation and toilets, which have benefited healthcare.

Future hinges on science and innovation
Mentioning the importance of science, Modi said that the future of the world will create the same society, which will give priority to investment in the field of science and innovation (innovation).
There is a need to invest in these areas in a planned manner. Modi said, ‘To get the benefits at the right time, one has to invest in science and innovation in advance.

1600 from 40 countries attended
Policymakers from many countries and celebrities from the science world are participating in this conference which runs from 19 to 21 October.
This time the conference will discuss various issues including the role of science in dealing with and managing the corona epidemic.
This virtual meeting of about 1600 people from 40 countries will also explore the path of a global solution to fight the epidemic.

It is notable that in 2013, the Grand Challenges India was founded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
