India Urges ‘NAM’ To Lead Efforts To Combat Terrorism

India urges ‘NAM’ to lead efforts to combat terrorism.

India urges the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to take the lead in strengthening the international legal framework to combat terrorism and the elements that feed it.

Addressing the ministerial-level meeting of NAM through a digital medium, Minister of State for External Affairs V. Muraleedharan described terrorism as the biggest threat to the principles of the group.

A Non-Aligned Movement is a group of 120 developing countries. “To remain a relevant and effective stakeholder in addressing global challenges.

NAM must be firmly aligned with inclusive, transparent, and reformed multilateralism,” Muraleedharan tweeted.

“Terrorism is the biggest threat to the principles of NAM.

NAM should lead without exception and double standards to strengthen the international legal framework to combat terrorism and its perpetrators.

The Minister of State for External Affairs also said that the group should not be used as a platform by any country to demean the territorial integrity and sovereignty of another country.

Army said continuous monitoring of the activities of the People’s Liberation Army of China.

There has been no attempt by India or China to recapture the areas in eastern Ladakh that were abandoned by both sides in February this year.

Both sides are in talks to resolve other issues in the region. The Indian Army said this on Wednesday.

The military said it was monitoring the activities of China’s military People’s Liberation Army (PLA). We are also monitoring the movement of Chinese troops in the region.

The Army has refuted a media report which claimed that the Chinese Army has re-crossed the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh at several places.

The army said that since the withdrawal of forces from some places in February this year, both sides have made no attempt to capture those areas.

There has been no clash in Galwan or any other area, as reported in the media report. The army also said that the report mentioning the breach of agreement with China is false and baseless.

Both sides are continuing talks to resolve the remaining issues. People from both sides are continuing regular patrolling in the respective areas.

The ground situation remains as before. The Indian Army is continuously monitoring the activities of the Chinese Army and its soldiers.
