India vs South Africa Women’s Cricket In Lucknow

India vs South Africa Women’s Cricket: South African batting battle in second ODI.

The hosts got off to a great start in the second match here on Tuesday after suffering a shock defeat in the first match of the five-match ODI series against South Africa.

India vs South Africa Women’s Cricket in Lucknow: Batting first after losing the toss, the guests lost six top wickets for 132 runs in 35 overs until the news was written.

Lijel and Laura batting silently: Lijel Lee (04) and Laura (09), who shared a record 169 runs for the first wicket for South Africa in the first match on Sunday, flopped in the second ODI.

Lee was bowled by fast bowler Jhulan Goswami and Joshi was made her victim. Captain Sune was seen in a hurry: The captain of the South African team, Sune Luce (36) was batting very well.

But she lost her wicket in an attempt to hit the ball going out. She faced 57 balls and hit five fours. Joshi took the wicket of Luce.

Lara missed the half-century: Lara, the strong middle-order batsman of the visiting team, made a great debut against the Indian Invasion.

However, on a personal score of 49 runs, Team India’s vice-captain Harmanpreet Kaur bowled them with a straight ball and gave a big blow to South Africa.

So far, Jhulan Goswami and Mansi Joshi took two wickets each and Harmanpreet took one wicket for India.

Hosts need a good start: Opener Jemima Rodrigues and Smriti Mandhana in the first match of the ODI series played on Sunday, apart from number three batsman Poonam Raut could not do anything great.

These three players returned to the pavilion for a total score of 40 runs. The host team got on the backfoot here.

However, Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Deepti Sharma played good innings, but as soon as these players were out, the entire middle order faltered and the last five batsmen of the team were dismissed for a total of just 20 runs.

If India has to win in the second match, then especially the opener and Poonam Raut will have to go ahead and take responsibility.

At the same time, in the bowling department, except for Jhulan Goswami, the other players failed to leave their impact.

Monica Patel, who made her ODI debut here on Sunday, was seen wandering from her line-length. Leg spinner Poonam Yadav’s spin could not do any good.

On the other hand, South African women were batting against Indian bowlers as if they were playing on the pitch of their country.

Both teams did not take part in the practice session: After four days of continuous practice and playing matches on Sunday, the Indian team preferred to rest.

However, the extra players of the team sweated for nearly two hours in the B-ground of the stadium. At the same time, the South African team stayed in the hotel.

Team review meeting: The team management held an important meeting on Monday about the performance of the Indian women who failed to compete in the first match of the ODI series.

According to the stadium source, it reviewed the performance of the batsmen and bowlers. If Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet, and Deepti were left, the other batsmen could not set foot at the crease.

The players were asked to take lessons from past mistakes and enter the next match with positive energy.
