Indian Air Force Interrupts Supply Of Powerful ‘Aerial Bomb’

Indian Air Force intercepts the supply of extremely powerful ‘aerial bomb’.The section of the factories in which this bomb was being made with the stop of the Air Force has been closed in the middle. The Indian Air Force has intercepted the supply of extremely powerful 100–120 kg ‘aerial bombs’ made in the two Ordnance Factories of the city.

The Ordnance Factory Khamaria (OFK) and the Gray Iron Foundry (GIF) administration do not know the reason for the ban, while the Air Force ban will cause the two factories to miss the production of around 50 crores in the financial year 2020-21.

It is to be noted that the casting of the body (shell) of the aerial bomb in GIF and ammo filling of the said shell is done in OFK. The section of the manufacturers in which this bomb was being made due to the ban of the Air Force, has been closed in the middle.

There is now a big crisis on GIF because this factory mainly manufactures shells of aerial bombs. The employees of the filling section of this factory will soon be shifted to another section.

Despite this, the GIF is not finding a way to get out of the crisis, so the factory administration is now constantly making correspondence with the Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) and trying to get a new indent.

Waiting for a new order

Sources reveal that GIF has made a shell of 250 kg aerial bomb a few days ago. The shell met with military testing, so the GIF is now waiting for a new order to make this bomb for the Air Force. 1500 body made GIF has done more than 1500 shells of 100-120 kg aerial bomb for the Air Force in the financial year 2020-21.

The factory got indent to manufacture about 2 thousand aerial bombs in this financial year. There are still 400-500 shells of bombs in the pipeline, but the management of the Air Force is upset now.
