Indian Ambassador to China meets PLA Senior General, talks on reducing tension in Ladakh: Border dispute. The deadlock between India and China on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh has now been more than a hundred days.

Indian Ambassador Vikram Misri on Friday met with a senior general of the Chinese Army, C. Guwei, to end the deadlock at the border.

This was the second major meeting Egypti held with senior officials of the Chinese military in the last three days. On August 12, Misery met with Liu Jianchao, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Commission Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

After this meeting, the Indian embassy in China informed that India informed China about the current situation of the border. Meanwhile, Foreign Ministry spokesman Anurag Shrivastava said that he expected China to work seriously for the withdrawal of troops along the border in East Ladakh.

He said that both sides had agreed on a broad principle for retreat and based on this some progress was also made in the past.

Anurag Shrivastava said that we want the ongoing process regarding the withdrawal to be completed as soon as possible, while it is important that the steps agreed by both the parties should be achieved. He said, ‘We hope that the Chinese side will work seriously to ensure a full retreat in the border areas, end tensions and fully restore peace’.

Let us know that the formal process of withdrawing troops started on 6 July. A day earlier, a telephonic conversation between India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi took place over the complete withdrawal of troops along the Line of Actual Control.

According to military sources, the Chinese army has retreated from the Galvan Valley and some places of conflict, but the Finger areas of Pangong So, Gogra and Depsang have not moved forward. India has been insisting that China should repel troops with finger-four and finger-eight.
