Indian and Vietnam navies conducted maneuvers in the South China Sea, retaliating to dragon’s aggression.
India has practiced with the Vietnam Navy for two days in the South China Sea amid ongoing tensions with China in eastern Ladakh.
Both countries have done this exercise with the intention of increasing cooperation in maritime security. China asserts its authority over the South China Sea and has bitter relations with Vietnam.
Indian Navy warship INS Kiltan carried relief supplies for those stranded in the floods in Central Vietnam.
It reached the port of Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday with 15 tons of relief supplies. On Saturday, when it was returning, the ship made a maneuver with the Vietnam Navy in the South China Sea.
In this two-day exercise, the navies of the two countries understood each other’s strengths.
The Indian Navy tweeted and informed about this exercise on Sunday. Earlier, the Ministry of Defense on Thursday informed about this proposed meager exercise.
Last Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke in a virtual meeting with his Vietnamese counterpart Guen Shuan Phuc on expanding defense cooperation.
Due to the increasing influence of China in the South China Sea, the countries closest to it are feeling very restless.
They are not able to stop China alone, so they are forming an alliance to stand against China. The objective of this exercise is to increase cooperation between the two countries at sea.
It is noteworthy that this exercise took place at a time when China is increasing its military presence in the South China Sea.
There is a concern in the world about this move of China and many countries are mobilizing against China. China is not deterring its expansionary antics.
Two of his naval warships on Saturday infiltrated Japan’s strait near Shenkaku Island. The Japanese Coast Guard later objected to the incursions of Chinese warships and asked them to return.
After this, both the warships went back. China claims Shenkaku Island. Earlier in October, Chinese warships had infiltrated the area. Despite objections, he stayed there for nearly 50 hours.
Subsequently, Japan’s Defense Minister Nobuo Kishi expressed concern over the infiltration from his Chinese counterpart and requested him to stop it. But Saturday’s incident made it clear that China ignored Japan’s request.
