Indian Army prepared on every front, will break the deadlock by negotiation and agreement. The Indian Army is fully prepared to respond to China’s tactic amid continuing military tensions with China on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. The army is also not ignoring the possibility of increasing Chinese military aggression on the LAC front.
Especially in the southern areas of Pangong Lake, special vigilance is being done to prevent any kind of torture by the Chinese army. Meanwhile, Army Chief General MM Narwane is on a two-day visit to Ladakh to take stock of the deep military tension in the area of Pangong Lake for the past five days.
On the intervening night of 29-30 on the southern shore of Pangong Lake and on the night of 31 August, on the heightened tension caused by the Chinese military’s attempt to infiltrate, Foreign Ministry spokesman Anurag Shrivastava said that India was committed to resolving all disputes through negotiations.
Giving a message of not being under any pressure from China’s aggressive military strategy, the spokesman said that no country should take provocative action. This stance of the Ministry of External Affairs is important because China is restless with the strength of the Indian Army at the strategic peak of Black Top Hill on the southern bank of Pangong Lake.
On the other hand, after unsuccessful attempts to infiltrate, China is now asking India to withdraw troops from these areas in a Brigadier-level dialogue, accusing India of violating sovereignty. India has a clear view that our troops are in their own area of LAC in this area.
India is asking China to withdraw its troops from the northern areas of Pangong Lake. Due to Chinese action, there was no result in the first four days of talks at the Brigadier level. There has been no indication of any results from the fifth-day meeting on Thursday.
Review by army chief
Army Chief Narwane, who was on a tour of Ladakh, held a special review meeting with local commanders regarding the security conditions of the entire area of Pangong Lake. Commanders of the Front Front also informed the Army Chief about the operational preparations of the Army to respond to the challenges of the enemy.
On Wednesday, Air Chief Marshal Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria reviewed the preparations of the Air Force on the front in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim. He also instructed the soldiers to remain on high alert.
The solution will come out of diplomacy itself: Jaishankar
In an event, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said that the path to resolving the India-China border dispute will come through the corridor of diplomacy. He emphasized that it is not only necessary for both countries to reach an agreement, but it will affect the whole world. Whatever happens at the border has an effect on mutual relations.
