Following the Indian Army’s successful anti-infiltration operation in Poonch, Pakistan initiated unprovoked cross-border firing in the Mankote sector. Indian forces retaliated effectively. Earlier, two LeT terrorists were killed during Operation ShivShakti, which recovered arms, grenades, and explosives. The army termed it a significant blow to Pakistan-sponsored terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, exposing continued cross-border terror support.
