Indian Navy: Five-Day Conference will start from Monday. Navy commanders will conduct a comprehensive review of the country’s maritime security, a five-day conference will start from Monday.

The top commanders of the Indian Navy will undertake a comprehensive review of the country’s maritime security, including the overall security situation in the Indian Ocean region, in a five-day conference beginning Monday, October 18.

Officials said on Saturday that Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat, Chief of Army Staff General MM Naravane, and Air Chief VR Choudhary will hold talks with Navy commanders on several issues.

It also includes enhancing synergy among the three wings of the Army in view of the emerging regional security scenario.

Naval Spokesperson Vivek Madhwal said that the conference assumes significance in view of the rapidly changing geostrategic situation in the region.

He said that it is an institutional forum to discuss, give directions and decide on issues of utmost importance that will shape the future functioning of the Navy.

Discussions are expected to take place on China’s increasing incursion into the Indian Ocean and maintaining naval supremacy in the strategically important region.

The Commanders’ Conference of the Indian Navy will be held in New Delhi from October 18 to 22.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will address and interact with naval commanders on matters related to national security.

The importance of this conference increases manifold due to the rapidly changing geostrategic situation of the region.

In this, aspects and issues related to the future of the Indian Navy are considered.

Meanwhile, the Navy Chief, along with other Naval Commanders, will review the major operational, logistics, human resource development, training, and administrative activities undertaken by the Indian Navy over the past few months and discuss future plans

The Indian Navy has seen a significant increase in its operational functions over the years in view of the growing maritime interests of the country.

This is the reason why now on mission-based deployment in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR) the Indian Navy ships are ready for quick response in any eventuality.
