Indian Navy’s Maritime Strength Increases By INS Karanj

Indian Navy’s maritime strength increases, battleship fleet joins Scorpene-class submarine INS Karanj. The Indian Navy’s maritime strength has increased.

The third Scorpene-class submarine INS Karanj (INS Karanj) is today inducted into the Navy’s combat fleet.

Karanj was inducted into the Indian Navy in the presence of Naval Chief Admiral Karambir Singh and Admiral VS Shekhawat (retired).

The Navy has already inducted two submarines of this category – INS Kalvari and INS Khanderi into its fleet from the same shipyard.

The submarine has been constructed at Mazgaon Dock Shipbuilders Limited under the Make in India program.

During this time, Naval Chief Admiral Karambir Singh said that the Indian Navy has been a strong supporter of indigenization and self-reliance in defense in the last 7 decades.

Currently, 40 out of 42 ships and submarines are being built at Indian shipyards.

Under the agreement with the Government of India, six submarines are to be built at this shipyard. Under this, trials of Vela and Wazir are underway, while construction of the sixth submarine is underway.

It is noteworthy that India is planning to build six more large and capable submarines under Project-75 India.

On the other hand, the Navy has tied up with Suryadipta Projects for the construction of 11 arms-cum-torpedo-cum-missile (ACTCM) ships.

The Navy said in a statement released on Tuesday that an agreement was reached with Thane’s MSME Suryadipit Projects Pvt Ltd on March 5.

According to the statement, the supply of ships is to start from May 22. The statement said that this project is another milestone in the direction of self-reliant India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his best wishes on the 52nd Central Industrial Security Force Establishment Day on Wednesday and said that the role of CISF personnel is important in national security and progress.

Writing on Twitter, he also shared his speech on the 50th Foundation Day celebrations of the CISF in Ghaziabad on March 10, 2019.

The PM tweeted, ‘Congratulations to the courageous CISF personnel and their families on Foundation Day. Their role has a deep significance in advancing national security and progress.
