Indo-Indonesia Navy begins a two-day coordinated patrol. The Navy of India and Indonesia have launched a two-day coordinated patrol along its international maritime border.

To ensure the safety of shipping and international trade, the navies of both countries have been coordinating their maritime border patrols since 2002.

Indo-Indonesia Navy begins: Starting Thursday, the 35th edition of the coordinated patrol of the two countries will run until Friday.

The purpose of the coordinated patrol is to curb illegal, stealthy, and irregular fishing, as well as curb drug trafficking, maritime terrorism, armed maritime plunder, and theft.

The Indian Navy has said, “Indian naval vessel (INS) Kulish will be involved in coordinated patrol with indigenously built missile corvette as well as P8I maritime patrol aircraft with Indonesian naval vessel KRI Kat Nayak Dien, etc.”

Ministry of Defense approves acquisition proposals worth Rs 28,000 crore, DRDO will design.

The Defense Acquisition Council of the Ministry of Defense (Defense Acquisition Council, DAC) on Thursday approved proposals worth Rs 28,000 crore.

Today, Union Minister Rajnath Singh chaired the meeting of the Defense Acquisition Council.

According to information received from the Ministry of Defense, proposals worth Rs 28,000 crore have been approved, out of which acquisition of Rs 27,000 crore will be received from the Indian industry.

Several tweets have been made by the ministry in this regard.

It added that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh chaired the meeting of the DAC, which approved Rs 25,000 crore for five other cases under the Swadeshi Design Development and Construction category.

The ministry wrote, ‘Five cases worth 25,000 crores have been approved under the Swadeshi Design Development and Construction category. Particularly notable cases have been designed by the Defense Research and Development Organization.

The agreement has been approved at a time when there is a deadlock between India and China at the border in East Ladakh.
