American tech-giant company Apple may be in trouble. In fact, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) has ordered an investigation against Apple on Friday.

The Apple App Store is accused of unfairly promoting business activities in the country. It is alleged that the Apple company is abusing its position with third-party developers.

Also, there is an allegation of not allowing payment for iOS-based mobile apps.

Apart from this, a complaint has been filed against Apple for charging up to 30 percent commission for in-app purchases. These complaints have been filed against Apple Inc and Apple India Pvt Ltd.

Recently, Amazon was fined Rs 202 crore.

CCI prima facie held that Apple has violated the provisions of Section 4 of the Competition Act. An inquiry has been ordered in the matter.

Along with this, it has been directed to submit the investigation report within 60 days. There has been no response from Apple in the matter.
