An important responsibility of security with CRPF.
The government has upgraded the security of billionaire industrialist Mukesh Ambani to the top category of ‘Z+’ after reviewing the perceived threat perception by central intelligence and security agencies.
Official sources gave this information on Thursday. Ambani, 65, chairman of Reliance Industries, was first given the ‘Z’ category cover of CRPF commandos on a payment basis in 2013.
The recommendation was formalized by the Union Home Ministry after central intelligence and security agencies received input on the scope of the alleged threat to the businessman.
He said the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) may be asked to increase the existing cover to ‘Z+’ and induct more commandos into its security unit.
