Israel And Turkey Will Establish Full Diplomatic Relations

Israel and Turkey will establish full diplomatic relations again, ambassadors will be stationed in both countries: Israel Turkey relations.

Israel and Turkey announced on Wednesday that they were restoring full diplomatic relations after years of bitter relations. Soon both the countries will deploy their ambassadors to each other.

Relations between the two countries, once friends, were not good for more than a decade. Earlier this year, there were signs of melting ice in the relations between the two countries.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog visited Turkey in March this year. Then Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan welcomed him with pomp.

Herzog’s welcome was described as a way to revive the broken relationship between the two countries. It was the first visit by an Israeli supreme leader to Turkey in 14 years.

Relations between the two countries were further soured by Erdogan’s criticism of Israel’s Palestinian policy.

In response, Israel raised questions about Turkey’s embrace of the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas.

Israel’s Interim Prime Minister Yair Lapid said in a statement on Wednesday that the restoration of relations with Turkey is a very important step for regional stability.

This is also very important news for the citizens of Israel. We will continue to strengthen Israel’s position in the world.

In 2010, the countries withdrew their ambassadors after Israeli forces raided a Gaza-bound flotilla carrying humanitarian aid for Palestinians that broke Israel’s blockade.

Nine Turkish activists were killed in this incident. Turkey withdrew its ambassador in 2018 after an effort to improve relations. After which the US moved its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

Iran US Prisoner Exchange: Iran is ready to exchange prisoners with America.

Iran has indicated it is ready to exchange prisoners with the US. This was stated by Foreign Minister Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani on Wednesday.

Please note that the exchange of prisoners is not new. Earlier in 2016, the Obama administration had freed four Americans from Iran under a prisoner exchange program on the day of the nuclear deal.

In 2015, Iran signed a nuclear deal with the US, France, Germany, Britain, Russia, and China.

Then US President Donald Trump announced America’s withdrawal from the agreement in 2018. Since then, Iran has once again started expanding its nuclear program.
