ISRO’s PSLV-C52 Successfully Launched In Sriharikota

ISRO’s PSLV-C52 successfully launched, also carried two small satellites; Know what will work this satellite.

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully launched PSLV-C52 at 5.59 am on Monday.

This is the first launch mission of 2022. The 25-hour countdown for the launch of Earth Observing Satellite EOS-04 by PSLV-C52 into orbit began on Sunday morning.

The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) also carried two small satellites with it.

Its launch took place at 05:59 am on Monday from the first launch pad of the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.

EOS-04 is a ‘radar imaging satellite’ designed to provide high-quality images in all weather conditions and in applications such as agriculture, forestry and plantation, soil moisture and hydrology, and flood mapping.

According to ISRO, along with the Earth observation satellite EOS-04, two smaller satellites have also been successfully launched from the PSLV-C52 rocket.

These satellites have been placed in their orbit. ISRO is preparing for five launches within the first three months of this year. The first would be EOS-4.

This will be followed by OCEANSAT-3 and INS-2B launch on PSLV-C53 in March. The SSLV-D1 microsat will be launched in April.

However, the fixed date of any launch can be changed till the last moment. Because before any launch, many parameters have to be seen.

ISRO’s PSLV-C52 successfully launched: Also carried two small satellites.

PSLV also carried two small satellites, including InspireSat-1, a satellite of the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), built-in in collaboration with the Atmospheric and Space Physics Laboratory at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

NTU, Singapore, and NCU, Taiwan have also contributed to this.

The purpose of this satellite is to improve the understanding of the dynamics of the ionosphere and the coronal thermal processes of the Sun.

At the same time, the second satellite is a Technology Demonstrator Satellite (INS-2TD) of ISRO.

Having a thermal imaging camera as its instrument, the satellite will assist in the estimation of land surface temperature, water surface temperature of wetlands or lakes, vegetation (crops and forests), and thermal inertia (day and night).
