Jaish-e-Mohammed commander Zahid Wani, five terrorists killed in two encounters in Kashmir, arms recovered.
Gunshots erupted in south Kashmir’s Pulwama and central Kashmir’s Charar-e-Sharif Budgam on Saturday when terrorists hiding there opened fire on security forces to break the siege.
The security forces retaliated by defending themselves. After that, a fierce encounter took place at both places.
Five terrorists were trapped in it. Security forces have succeeded in neutralizing five terrorists belonging to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist organizations.
Meanwhile, IG Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar, while sharing information on internet media, said that in response to Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.
Security forces have succeeded in killing five terrorists in two encounters in Kashmir in the last 12 hours. They had links with Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist organizations.

As soon as a joint patrol of Army’s 53 RR and CRPF and Police started the search in Budgam at 10 pm, terrorists hiding in a house opened fire on them.
The soldiers retaliated by defending themselves. Three terrorists are reported to be hiding in the encounter.
After midnight, the security forces have succeeded in neutralizing the three terrorists. An AK-56 rifle was also recovered from his possession.
Earlier, at 6.30 pm, Special Team SOG of Jammu and Kashmir Police along with Army and CRPF conducted a search operation in Neyra, Tahab area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The operation was launched on the information of sighting of a group of terrorists armed with automatic weapons in the village.
When the security forces were advancing in the village, the terrorists hiding in a house opened fire on them. On this, the soldiers also retaliated. After this firing started from both sides.
Local sources said that the security forces shifted many people to a safer place from the houses located around the house which became the terrorist hideout.
Along with this, he also asked the terrorists to surrender while answering the bullet. Although the police did not confirm the number of terrorists, local sources said that there could be two terrorists in the siege.
Late night, these two terrorists were also killed.
Meanwhile, in the Adura and Neelu areas of Kulgam district, the security forces conducted two separate search operations on information about the hiding of terrorists.
Sources said that in both the operations which continued till late night, the security forces did not get any clue of the terrorists.
The three terrorists caught in Ganderbal are members of TRF.
The three suspected terrorists who were caught with weapons by the security forces in Ganderbal district on Friday are members of the TRF, called the Hit Squad of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
All three are residents of South Kashmir. They have been identified as Faisal Manzoor’s son Manzoor Ahmed, a resident of Baripora, Shopian.
Azhar Yakub son of Zanoor resident of Shopian, Mohammad Yakub, and Nasir Ahmed Dar son of Mohammad Ayub Dar, resident of Begumpora, Kulgam.
During interrogation, it was revealed that these three were conspiring to kill certain people in Ganderbal and to expand the network of TRF.
Two pistols, three magazines, 15 cartridges, two grenades, and three mobile phones were also recovered from their possession. The interrogation of all three is on.
