Jallikattu Held Amidst Corona Epidemic In Tamil Nadu

Jallikattu held amidst Corona epidemic in Tamil Nadu. Jallikattu is being organized in Tamil Nadu with some restrictions due to the Corona epidemic.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, BJP President JP Nadda, and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat are in Tamil Nadu today. These people will participate in different programs.

According to the information, Rahul is going to reach Madurai in a while to attend the event of Jallikattu. Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat celebrated the festival of Pongal in Chennai and worshiped the cow. Apart from this, Nadda will take part in a special event organized by the state BJP.

Also, see the traditional art and sports of Tamil Nadu and ride a bullock cart. Later he will also address the people. Apart from this, he will also attend the annual event of Tamil magazine Tughlaq. It is known that assembly elections are to be held in the state in April-May this year.

Due to this, political enthusiasts in the state are gradually intensifying. The state government has directed that the number of players in an event should not exceed 150 during the event of Jallikattu. Apart from this, their corona negative certificate is mandatory.

Only 50 percent of the total audience can gather at the venue. As per the instructions of the state government, thermal scanning of the audience will be done before admission. In addition, they will have to cover the physical distance.

The 400-year-old traditional game Jallikattu is held at the time of harvesting of crops at Pongal. During this time coins or notes are stuck in the seams of bulls and they are provoked and left in the crowd.

People have to control them. Chilli is put in their eyes for the fast running of bulls. Also, their tails are twisted. Animal lovers are strongly opposed to Jallikattu.

It was banned by the Supreme Court in 2014. People strongly opposed this and came down the road. After this, the state government passed an ordinance allowing it to be held. The petition was filed by the Animal Welfare Board of India and The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
