Activists said that neither the central government nor the Jammu and Kashmir administration was showing its seriousness towards the rights of displaced Kashmiri Pandits.

The activists demanded that the monthly relief should be increased and that every displaced family member should be given a government job.

The workers held a meeting and criticized the obstinate attitude of the central government.

On the occasion, Jagati Tenement Committee head Shaadi Lal Pandita said that at this time Kashmiri Pandits are getting very little cash relief for the month.

We are demanding that this should be increased to 25 thousand rupees, but we are not being listened to. The displaced family is not able to make a living for less.

Now displaced families will be forced to intensify their movement.

He said that the program of protest in Jammu has already been prepared. Now we will also protest in far-flung areas.

At the same time, Raj Kumar Tikku said that the issue of Kashmiri Pandits’ return to the valley has not been raised.

The central government had repeatedly assured Kashmiri Pandits that they would return home. But today no government has prepared this blueprint.

The weather is expected to remain dry in Jammu and Kashmir from November 26. The continuation of snowfall in the Kashmir division and Pirpanjal mountain range for the last two days continues even today.

On the other hand, in the Kashmir Valley, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Shopian and some other areas are experiencing snowfall.

There is a possibility of rain in other lower areas. The outbreak of cold has increased in Jammu and Srinagar due to the drop in temperature in these three days.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather patterns in the Kashmir Valley and Jammu Division will remain tough in the same way, but tomorrow the weather will start improving from Thursday.

At the same time, after the snow fell on the Jawahar Tunnel and the debris in Ramban, the Jammu-Srinagar highway has been opened one way.

The Mughal road and the Srinagar-Leh road are still closed for vehicular traffic. It is still snowing here. The traffic department says that it may take two to three days to fully open these routes.

The road remains slippery even after snow removal. In such a situation, if vehicles are allowed to pass through here then it can prove dangerous for them.
