Journalist Killed In Bomb Blast In Pakistan’s Balochistan

Journalist killed in bomb blast in Pakistan, Balochistan Liberation Army took responsibility.

A 35-year-old Pakistani journalist was killed in a bomb blast in Balochistan province. Balochistan Liberation Army has claimed responsibility for this attack.

Media on Monday quoted Nadeem Haider, an officer of the Idgah station house, as saying that Shahid Zehri, a journalist killed in the attack, used to work for Metro 1 News.

The attack happened when he was traveling by car in the province’s Hub city on Sunday. The CCTV footage shows Jehri’s car exploded as soon as it took a U-turn on the busy road.

TV reporter Jehri and others were seriously injured in the attack with a country-made grenade.

The injured were rushed to the civil hospital in Karachi after initial treatment at a local hospital, where doctors declared the journalist was brought dead.

According to media, the Pakistan Newspaper Editors’ Council in the Media Freedom Report 2020 stated that at least 10 journalists have been killed during the year.

While hundreds have faced threats and kidnappings.

Balochistan separatist group Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack via social media, saying the reporter was spying on them.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) strongly condemned the killing of Shahid Zehri.

In a statement, PFUJ President Shahzada Zulfiqar and General Secretary Nasir Zaidi condemned the brutal act of targeting the journalist and called for the immediate arrest of the culprits.

The conflict between Imran Khan and the army over the new ISI chief, know what is the whole matter.

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has told the military that he was not part of the decision-making process to replace the head of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI, Faiz Hameed.

This information was given by Friday Times. Senior Pakistani journalist Najam Sethi said in a TV show that the Prime Minister’s stand in this matter seems to be creating a conflict situation.

This is the reason why the notification of the new ISI chief has not been signed.

After the announcement of the new ISI chief by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), there has been no confirmation from the PM House. This delay in announcement is unusual.

The report said that it has now come to the fore that this decision has created tension between the PM and the army.

Sethi said the posting of Lt Gen Faiz Hameed as Peshawar Corps Commander and General Nadeem Anjum as the new DG ISI should have been announced from the PM House.
