JVPC can fire  800 bullets in a minute and  also has the ability to pierce steel plates

The JVPC (Joint Venture Production Carbine) made at the Small Arms Factory of Kanpur is ready to give a befitting reply to the terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.

Along with Delhi Police and Central Industrial Security Force, Para Military Forces also showed interest in this.

Small Arms Factory has completed a consignment of about 4500 JVPCs in several phases while still, the construction of about five thousand JVPCs is going on on war footing.

Seeing the achievements of JVPC, it is believed that soon the army can also order it.

Capacity to make ten thousand carbines.

The Small Arms Factory has the capacity to manufacture ten thousand JVPCs per year. Experts say that it can be increased further if needed.

About ten thousand JVPC orders were received from CISF engaged in the security of Parliament, Delhi Metro along with Delhi Police, Jammu Police.

Of this, five thousand have been prepared while the production of the remaining is going on.

It is expected that new orders can be received by March 2022, so in the next two months, the earlier orders are being completed rapidly.

JVPC developed through a joint effort.

The Joint Venture Protective Carbine has been developed in collaboration with Small Arms Factory (SAF) and ARDE Pune. It is an indigenously developed carbine.

Carbines bought from abroad were expensive. The firepower of JVPC makes it different from German and Belgian carbines. It has a range of 200 meters.

The weight is three kg, so it can be fired with one hand if needed. It is fitted with a steel magazine to fire 30 rounds, due to which its firing rate is 800 rounds per minute.

Experts say that its bullets can penetrate a 3.5 mm thick mild steel plate from a distance of 100 meters.
