Kallakurichi Student Death: Process Of Post-mortem Completed

Kallakurichi Student Death: CB-CID is investigating the death of the student, the process of post-mortem completed; permission for the funeral.

Crime Branch, CB, and CID have started an investigation into the death of a girl student in Kallakurichi, Tamil Nadu.

Both the investigating agencies have put up notices outside the house of the victim girl at Periyanasalur village in the Cuddalore district.

Through the notice, the family has been informed about the completion of the post-mortem process and taking the body for the last rites.

She was found dead on the hostel premises.

A 17-year-old class XII student was found dead in the hostel premises on July 13 at a private school in the Kaniyamoor area of ​​Chinnasalem in Tamil Nadu’s Kallakurichi.

The girl had committed suicide after being harassed by the teachers. According to the first post-mortem report, there were multiple injury marks on the girl’s body.

The incident was followed by arson and violence on the school premises on Sunday.

Police arrested them.

On Monday, the police arrested two school teachers Haripriya and Kritika in the case. Earlier, three officials of the management including the principal and secretary of the school were arrested.

On Sunday, DGP C Shailendra Babu ordered the transfer of the matter to CB-CID after visiting the school.

Madras High Court had ordered the second post-mortem.

On 18 July, the Madras High Court had asked for a second post-mortem. Also, the court had asked the father of the deceased to be present there during the entire process.

The order of the second post-mortem was challenged in the Supreme Court by the father of the deceased student.

State Chief Minister MK Stalin addressed the media and expressed concern over the violence. He appealed to the protesters to maintain peace.

Along with this, he also promised to provide justice to the deceased student of class 12th.

He said that the DGP and Home Secretary have been ordered to go to Kallakurichi. Strict punishment will be given to the culprits once the investigation of the case is over.
