Karnataka BJP leader Yatnal reversed his own statement, said – no BJP MLA is in touch with Congress leaders.

Karnataka BJP leader and MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal on Sunday said that no BJP minister is in touch with Congress leaders.

Taking a dig at former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, he said that his political career is coming to an end, so he is talking like this.

Let us tell you that a few days ago, BJP leader Yatnal himself had claimed that some MLAs and ministers who joined BJP from other parties are in touch with the Congress leadership.

Patil Yatnal today said Congress leaders like DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah are fighting with each other for the next chief minister’s post and leadership in Congress.

Talking to media persons in Vijayapura, he said that no BJP MLA is in touch with Congress leaders like Siddaramaiah or DK Shivakumar, in desperation both the leaders are giving such statements.

He said that frustrated by the infighting in the Congress for the next CM post and leadership in the Congress, leaders like DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah are making such statements.

The BJP leader alleged that the Mekedatu padayatra (March) was not for the benefit of farmers or people, it was for DK Shivakumar and against former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

He said it was organized to destroy Siddaramaiah’s political career.

Patil Yatnal attacked Congress and said that the slogan heard during the Mekedatu padayatra was ‘DK Shivakumar is the next chief minister’.

He said that this is proving once again that DK Shivakumar wants to prove to the party people, party leaders, and workers that he is leading the present and he is powerful.

It is worth noting that earlier BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal had himself claimed that some MLAs and ministers who joined the saffron party from other parties are in touch with Congress.

Yatnal had said that these leaders would change the party once again as soon as the next assembly elections were announced.

Meanwhile, Yatnal’s claim was also supported by Congress leaders DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah.
