Karnataka: Congress Organize The ‘Raj Bhavan Chalo’ March

Karnataka: Congress workers organize the ‘Raj Bhavan Chalo’ march in support of farmers, encircles government. Congress workers in Karnataka took out the ‘Raj Bhavan Chalo’ march from Sangoli railway station to Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru.

The protests are being held in support of the farmers agitating against the state government and against the three agricultural laws. On this occasion, Congress leader DK Shivkumar, who was involved in the march, surrounded the state government fiercely.

He said that our farmers are not allowed to come to Bengaluru. It is not just Congress, but the peasant community is also opposing this (agricultural laws), they are stopping our vehicles on the roads.

We will fight until the act is repealed. Earlier, the leader and head of Karnataka Congress DK Shivkumar had come forward in support of the farmers regarding the Kisan agitation.

Attacking the Center on agricultural laws, he has made several statements in support of farmers. Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar has said that I received many calls that the farmers coming to Bengaluru from other districts of Karnataka are being stopped by the police and they are not being allowed to come to Bengaluru.

He said that I urge farmers to block highways, roads and protest in support of farmers wherever they are. Along with this, the Congress leader also attacked the BJP government at the Center.

Attacking the center, DK Shivakumar said, “I know that the BJP government is trying to stop the farmers at any cost and not allowing them to participate in the protests.” I request the protesters to come to the Sangoli Rayana statue and participate in a massive protest rally.

The Congress is today staging a Raj Bhavan Chalo Dharna from Sangoli Rayanna railway station to Raj Bhavan in support of farmers, who are opposing the newly enacted farming laws.

It has three agricultural laws – Farmers Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; The Price Assurance and Agricultural Services Act 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020 include the Farmer Empowerment and Protection Agreement.
