Hearing on the Hijab controversy in Karnataka will be held again in the High Court today. The hearing in this matter was also held on Tuesday.

Justice Krishna Dixit is hearing it. The High Court had said on Tuesday that we will follow what the Constitution says. The Constitution is the Bhagavad Gita for us.

We will look into this matter under the law and not out of passion or emotions.

At the same time, the Advocate General said in the Karnataka High Court, the colleges should be given the autonomy to decide the uniform, the students who want exemption should contact the college.

School-college closed for three days.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has ordered the closure of all high schools and colleges in the state for three days amid the hijab controversy.

The Chief Minister said that we are waiting for the direction of the Karnataka High Court. I appeal to the students to maintain peace and harmony.

Meanwhile, a video is going viral in which many boys are seen misbehaving with a girl wearing a hijab. After the video surfaced, many leaders are criticizing it.

On the other hand, Pakistani activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai has also commented on this matter.

Malala said that preventing girls from entering schools wearing hijab is appalling. She said that Indian leaders should stop marginalizing Muslim women.

How did the controversy start?

The controversy over wearing the hijab in Karnataka started with a government college in the Udupi district.

Here 6 girl students of the Muslim community were barred from entering classes for wearing hijab. Girls wearing hijab were asked to opt for online classes.

The girls had refused to accept the decision of the college and have also filed a petition against it in the High Court.

More than 4 thousand cases came in Karnataka.

In the last 24 hours, 4,452 new cases of corona have been reported in Karnataka. 19,067 recoveries and 51 deaths have been recorded. The number of active cases of corona in the state is 72,414.

There have been 4,519 new cases of corona in Tamil Nadu. During this, 20,237 people have been cured and 37 people have died.
