Karnataka Is Preparing To Send 1000 Nurses To Britain

Karnataka is preparing to send one thousand professional nurses to Britain for employment.

In an effort to generate employment amid the Corona epidemic, the Government of Karnataka is preparing to send one thousand professionally trained nurses to Britain.

Giving information about the move, State Deputy Chief Minister and Skill Development Minister Dr. CN Ashwath Narayan said that Indian nurses are in great demand in many countries including Europe.

Many hospitals located there have come forward to give employment to them. In the first phase, one thousand nurses will be sent to Britain.

20 lakh rupees annual salary package fixed

In an official release, the state government said that all the nurses going through the first phase will be trained through Karnataka Vocational Training and Skills Development Corporation (KVTSDC) in all aspects related to their profession including communication skills.

The UK government has fixed an annual salary package of 20 lakh rupees (Indian currency) for those seeking employment.

The deal is due to an agreement between the state’s Department of Skill Development, the National Health Service (NHS), and Health Education England (HEE).

Establishment of international immigration center for the purpose of employment

In particular, the Government of Karnataka has established an international immigration center with the objective of providing employment abroad.

The current batch of nurses is being sent to the UK through this center. According to the state government, this center will be in comfortable contact with these nurses and will listen to their complaints.

In the event of any problem arising, they can contact the center and communicate about it. It also states that KVTSDC is in touch to sign an agreement with the Government of Canada.

It will provide employment to professionals involved in IT, video gaming, and artificial intelligence.

All the state government-run schools have been opened regularly since January.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, following the recommendations of the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), has decided to reopen the school in the state from January 1, 2021, to the students of classes 10 and 12.
