Karnataka Lingayat Mutt case: The saint of Lingayat Math accused of sexual abuse, said- a big conspiracy against me.

Dr. Shivmurthy Murugha Sharanaru, the main accused in the rape case of minor girls, says that the allegations leveled against him are part of a conspiracy against him during police interrogation.

This information was given by the sources on Sunday.

In this case, the questioning was done for the third consecutive day after the local court reprimanded the officials and handed over the accused saint to police custody.

Sources have revealed that on the basis of the statement of the minor girl, the accused saint will be interrogated under Section 164 of CrPC.

Karnataka Lingayat Mutt case: At the same time, the police will also investigate the matter of the atrocity case.

Police said the accused sadhu is patiently answering questions and taking time to give his statement.

He also said that he had done no wrong and that the allegations against him were part of a conspiracy against him.

Police sources said that they are focusing on the biological and technical evidence against the accused saint. Chitradurga SP Parashuram and Investigating Officer DYSP Anil Kumar will interrogate him.

Sources said that the accused monk would be taken to the Math on Sunday where a Mahajar procedure would be conducted at the alleged crime scene.

Police sources said that the authorities have completed the process of Mahajar by the victims. The accused will be produced in court on Monday and will be remanded in judicial custody.

Meanwhile, the counsel for the accused has applied for bail on medical grounds and the local court will decide the matter.

The authorities conducted a medical examination of the accused saint which included a strength test. Police are looking for three other accused including Junior Pujari in connection with the scandal.
