Karnataka minister Umesh Katti dies of heart attack, PM Modi expresses grief: Karnataka Minister Demise.

Karnataka Minister Demise Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the death of Karnataka Forest Minister Umesh Katti on Wednesday.

Forest Minister Umesh Katti died of a heart attack late Tuesday evening. PM Modi said that Umesh Katti Ji was an experienced leader who contributed immensely to the development of Karnataka.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, ‘Umesh Katti Ji was a veteran leader who made rich contributions to the development of Karnataka.

I am saddened by his death. My condolences to his family and supporters at this sad time. om Shanti.’

According to sources, the 61-year-old minister suffered chest pain and collapsed at his Dollar Colony home, after which he was taken to Ramaiah Hospital where he breathed his last.

Chief Minister Bommai expressed deep grief.

Bommai tweeted, “Deeply saddened by the untimely demise of my close colleague Shri Umesh Katti, Minister of Forests.

In his death, the state lost an accomplished diplomat, an active leader, and a loyal public servant. I pray that God gives strength to his family to bear this loss.

Former CM Siddaramaiah also expressed grief.

Leader of the Opposition and former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has also expressed grief by tweeting.

He wrote that ‘Deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Food and Civil Supplies Minister Umesh Katti. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family. may his soul rest in peace.’

Meanwhile, Dr. Aruna Ramesh, HOD of emergency services at Ramaiah Hospital, said the minister ‘must have suffered a heart attack at home, adding that he was brought unconscious to the hospital late in the evening.
