Kedarnath Yatra 2021: Devotees Will Be Able To Visit Sanctum

Kedarnath Yatra 2021: Now devotees will be able to visit the sanctum in Kedarnath, know what is special in the SOP.

Good news for the devotees visiting Kedarnath during Chardham Yatra. Now they will be able to have darshan by circumambulating the sanctum sanctorum in the Dham.

But they will not be allowed to apply Jalabhishek, ghee, etc. on the Shivling. However, in Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri, the entry of devotees in the sanctum sanctorum will be restricted.

These provisions have been made in the revised SOP issued by the Chardham Devasthanam Management Board.

After getting relief from the High Court, now following the Covid protocol, the focus of the government is on that more and more travelers can have darshan in the four Dhams.

After amending the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of Chardham Yatra by the government, now the Chardham Devasthanam Management Board has also started preparations accordingly.

The board has also issued a revised SOP. According to Ravinath Raman, Divisional Commissioner, and CEO of the Board.

According to tradition, devotees are not allowed in the sanctum sanctorum in Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri.

But in Kedarnath earlier permission was given. This time, permission has been given to visit the sanctum sanctorum once.

He told that no one will be allowed to sit in the Sabha Mandap in all the four Dhams.

If a devotee wants to perform special worship, then the worship will be done on his behalf by the Acharyas, Vedapathis, and priests.

Such devotees will also be allowed only at the prescribed time for darshan.

He informed that for darshan in Badrinath and Kedarnath, free manual tokens will be given to the devotees on behalf of the board so that the system is maintained and all the devotees can visit easily.

Counters are being set up in both the Dhams to receive tokens. Separate orders will be issued for VIP and Tatkal Darshan.

Along with this, there is sufficient availability of sanitizers, masks in the dhams, so arrangements have been made according to the safe physical distance.

He also informed that following the guidelines of Corona in Kedarnath and Badrinath, arrangements are also made for night rest for a sufficient number of passengers.

Kedarnath Yatra 2021: More relief to passengers.

For Chardham Yatra, it is necessary for the devotees to register in the Dehradun Smart City Portal.

Along with this, they have to upload the certificate of taking both the doses of Covid or the negative report of the corona test 72 hours before.

According to the CEO of the board, there are many travelers who want to go to Chardham for darshan, but they are unable to register.

For the convenience of such passengers, arrangements are being made for manual registration in Haridwar and Rishikesh.

Prohibition of touching idols and bells in Dhams.

Travelers will not be allowed to touch idols, bells, ornaments, texts in the four Dhams. Also, it will be forbidden to bring any kind of material inside the temple from outside.

Distribution of Prasad and vaccination will also not be allowed.

Make arrangements for accommodation before traveling.

After the restriction of a limited number for Chardham Yatra is over, now a large number of devotees will turn to the four Dhams.

In view of this, travelers should make sure that the arrangements are available in the Dhams.

Accommodation in the nearest Hotel, Dharamshala, Ashram, Home Stay, Guest House, PG, or other registered residential facilities should also be ensured.
