After the name of 37-year-old Indian-origin entrepreneur Rinson Jose surfaced in the recent pager blasts in Lebanon, the Kerala Police on Sunday investigated his family background. A police officer told the leading news agency that this was not a case or investigation.

The officer said that the Special Branch officials have investigated the background of Rinson Jose. There is nothing new in this, it happens whenever such news comes out. Another officer said that after the reports, precautionary patrolling has been started in the area near Mananthavady.

He said that Rinson came to Kerala in November last year and left in January. Meanwhile, BJP leader Sandeep G. Varier has demanded security for Rinson and his family. BJP state committee member Varier said in a Facebook post, ‘He is the son of our country. He is a Malayali. We should provide security to Rinson and his family at any cost.’
