Kerala High Court Said- Church Is The House Of God

Kerala High Court said- Church is the house of God, not a place of war.

Calling for an end to factionalism in the Malankara Syrian Orthodox Churches in the state, the Kerala High Court said that churches should function as the abode of God and not as a place of war.

Today some churches have been converted into this form.

Justice Devan Ramachandran said that everyone who is part of the Malankara Syrian Orthodox Church has to abide by the 1934 Constitution.

The court cautioned the people against obstructing and showing rebellious attitudes and said that the court would not shy away from using police force to implement the 1934 Constitution.

The judge said that no court, and above all this court, would be happy to send police or any other force to any church to enforce a decision.

However, if this court is compelled to do so, this option will certainly be considered. The next hearing in this matter will be held on October 26.

Till then the Superintendent of Police and the officers under him shall ensure that the areas where the churches are situated are protected from any violation of law and order by any person.

On the other hand, the Supreme Court has stayed the proceedings in the Kerala High Court on a petition challenging the Central Government’s decision to give 10 percent reservation in jobs and admission to candidates belonging to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).

Kerala High Court said- Church is the house of God. The Supreme Court also issued notice on the petition filed by the Central Government.

The top court had earlier referred a similar matter to a five-judge constitution bench.

Let us inform you that Nuzam PK has challenged the said decision of the Central Government by filing a Public Interest Litigation in the Kerala High Court.
