Lashkar terrorist network busted, 7 arrested, Major police action: Jammu and Kashmir. 

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested seven members of the banned outfit claiming to have busted a terrorist network of Lashkar-e-Taiba in the Jammu and Rajouri districts.

Police said on Monday that most of the cases of terrorism in Jammu have been resolved after three Lashkar-e-Taiba modules were busted.

Jammu Division’s Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Mukesh Singh told a press conference here, “We have busted three Lashkar terror modules which were running on instructions from across the border.

“Seven members of the terrorist network have been arrested. This has dealt a blow to Lashkar in Jammu.”

He said two modules were busted in the Rajouri district and five Lashkar-e-Taiba members were arrested.

A huge amount of ammunition was recovered.

Singh said that two AK rifles, six pistols, three silencers, eight grenades, three UBGLs, six magazines of pistols, six magazines of AK rifles, 120 cartridges including a large number of arms, ammunition, and explosives have been recovered.

He said that this module of Lashkar in Jammu was active in the Khatika Talab area of ​​the city for more than two years.

He said that it was used to collect weapons and explosives being dropped by drones from Pakistan’s side on the international border.

The police officer said that it was being operated by Faisal Munir, who hails from the Khatika Talab area.

He told that Munir was instructed by Lashkar terrorist Bashir Doda, who is currently in Pakistan, while the code name of the other terrorist was Albert.

J&K: ‘Yasin Malik kidnapped me’: Rubia Saeed identified in court.

Rubaiya Sayeed, daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, appeared before a special CBI court on Friday in connection with her 1989 abduction case.

During this, she identified JKLF chief Yasin Malik and three others as his kidnappers. The officers provided this information.

This was the first time that Rubaiya was asked to appear in court in the case. He was freed by the kidnappers in exchange for the release of five terrorists.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has listed Rubaiya, a resident of Tamil Nadu, as a prosecution witness. In the 1990s, the investigation of this case was handed over to the CBI.
